The Slide™ extending adaptor is the innovative component of the NEW FoamRail Span™ tapeless seal. It converts two FoamRail™ tapeless seals into an adjustable rail that can tightly seal up to 7 feet 6 inches of a dust barrier – with only one pole.
Note: The Slide™ extending adaptor also works with existing 3 foot and 5 foot FoamRail™ tapeless seals. It extends any two rails to nearly their combined length and requires only one pole.
Make your own adjustable tapeless seal
The Slide™ extending adaptor converts two FoamRail™ tapeless seals into one adjustable seal. An adjustable seal is not only versatile, made to fit the size of the job, but also economical as it requires only one pole.
The Slide™ adaptor is both a replacement part for the FoamRail Span™ and an extending adaptor for existing FoamRail™ tapeless seals. Converting two 4 foot FoamRail™ tapeless seals creates an adjustable rail that will tightly seal up to 7 feet 6 inches of a dust barrier with only one pole.
Note: The Slide™ adaptor can also be used with existing 3 foot and 5 foot FoamRail™ tapeless seals. It extends any two rails to nearly their combined length and requires only one pole.
Instruction
Attach the Slide™ adaptor to each of the two FormRail™ tapeless seals by sliding it through the grooves along the rails. Note: You may need to remove the red end-cap first when using older FoamRail™ products.
Extend the adjustable tapeless seal and flip the red tab to lock it at the desired width. IMPORTANT: Notice the arrows on the red slide – the direction of extending the tapeless seal is essential to its proper function (fig.4-5).
To seal a dust barrier at the ceiling, snap the adjustable tapeless seal onto the ball joint of a ZipWall® pole, raise the pole with the attached FoamRail™ to the ceiling, and lock it into place.
To seal a dust barrier at the floor, use Floor Adaptors. Replace the foot of the pole with a Floor Adaptor, place the FoamRail™ on the floor, snap the pole onto it and set up the pole. Note: A barrier can be sealed at the ceiling and floor simultaneously with one pole.
