Application Information (Always follow product label instructions for best results) Review directions and precautions thoroughly before starting work.
USE CONDITIONS
This product works best at room temperature (70°F). Colder temperatures can affect product performance.
REMOVAL OF LATEX, ACRYLIC AND PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVES:
Step 1: Dilute 620. 4 parts HOT water to 1 part Sentinel 620.*
Step 2: Apply 620 mixture directly onto
adhesive. Use a broom, mop or squeegee to agitate and maintain even coverage while keeping the surface wet. Allow mixture to soak and penetrate for 30-60 minutes.
Step 3: Scrape softened adhesive from the floor with a razor floor scraper. Repeat steps 2 and 3 if glue is especially thick or stubborn. Dispose of all waste following all local, state and federal
regulations.
Step 4: Rinse the subfloor thoroughly with clean water. Allow surface to completely dry and test moisture levels before reflooring.
*For particularly tough adhesives, reduce the dilution ratio for a stronger solution
REMOVAL OF SHEET VINYL OR LINOLEUM BACKING:
Once the wear layer is removed, mix 4 parts HOT water to 1 part 620. Apply directly to the backing and allow to soak through. Maintain even coverage and a wet surface for 1-2 hours or until backing and adhesive can easily be removed with a razor floor scraper. Rinse the surface with clean water and allow to dry. Test moisture levels before reflooring.
REMOVAL OF CARPETING:
Using a utility knife, cut the carpeting into strips 1 foot wide, making sure to cut all the way through to the subfloor. Mix 4 parts HOT water to 1 part 620 and pour directly onto carpet. Maintain even coverage and completely saturate carpeting. Allow to soak for 4 hours up to overnight. (If soaking overnight, covering the carpet with poly will help control evaporation and drying.) When carpet releases easily, roll up and remove. Follow latex removal steps to remove remaining adhesive.
