Sentinel 537 Low Viscosity Odor Encapsulant is a water based liquid sealant used to lockdown odors commonly found on restoration projects. Sentinel 537 is a multi-surface interior grade sealant with great adhesion qualities and a low odor formula that contains no volatile organic compounds (VOC’s). Sentinel 537 is available in a clear formula. With low permeability characteristics a single coat is highly effective on most projects. Sentinel 537 is easily applied with a variety of applicators such as sprayers and foggers.
Sentinel 537 Low Viscosity Antimicrobial Odor Encapsulant is a professional strength, low odor, fast drying encapsulant used to seal and lock down odors commonly found on restoration projects. The fluidity of 537 makes it ideal for fogging into confined spaces and hard to reach areas like cavities, chases, shafts and HVAC systems. 537 is safe for both lined and unlined duct work. Sentinel 537 includes antimicrobial product protection designed to prevent stain and odor causing mold and mildew growth on the cured encapsulant surface. 537 contains no Volatile Organic Compounds and is available in a clear finish.
Application Information (Always follow product label instructions for best results)
Sentinel’s Restoration Cleaning Process:
Before using Sentinel 537 to lock down unwanted odors, first clean dirt, grease, grime, smoke soot from floors, walls, studs, ceilings and other surfaces with Sentinel 315 Smoke & Soot Cleaner/Wash. Next, knock down odors with Sentinel 522 Smoke & Odor Cleaner Destroyer.
Directions For Use:
Preparation: Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of loose debris. For best results the application area should be at least 50° F. with relative humidity levels below 50%. Using a drill and paddle bit, mix 537 thoroughly before using. Coverage Rates: range from 200-400 sq. feet per gallon, depending on the porosity of the surface being sealed. Application: Sentinel 537 is best applied with an airless sprayer but can also be applied with applicators such as Ultra Low Volume (ULV) foggers, pump sprayers, mechanical sprayers, automated sprayers, brushes or rollers. When applying with an airless sprayer use a fluid tip .013 – .017. When applying with a ULV fogger or sprayer always clean machine immediately after use with warm soapy water and then rinse with clean water. When applying with a roller use a 1/4” to 1/2” nap roller depending on the texture of the substrate being sealed. Apply a thin uniform coat. Allow 537 to dry for a minimum of 2 hours before recoating. To assure proper performance, it is vitally important that all surfaces be completely coated with Sentinel 537. Apply multiple coats for significant odors.
When spraying in HVAC ducts, on duct liner or duct board, do not saturate porous surfaces. Allow to dry for 2 hours before recirculating fresh air. Fresh air should be carefully inspected for odors before ventilating into occupied spaces.
Clean Up: Clean equipment and spills with soap and warm water. Cured product can be removed with Sentinel 206 Paint & Coatings Stripper or another commercially available stripper. DO NOT
ALLOW COATING TO FREEZE.
