Trimaco’s E-Z Up® Dust Containment Pole works with plastic sheeting to create an enclosed dust wall on the jobsite. The durable steel construction adjusts to a maximum height of 12 feet and is provides dust protection for construction remodeling and restoration projects.

To use, simply clip plastic onto the quick clip and adjust the dust barrier pole to ceiling height with twist lock technology. The unique bottom spring ensures a snug fit.

Another use for our poles in today’s day in age is creating temporary separation in open areas. Use at hair salons, offices, kiosks and more to create a socially distant barrier.

Applications for ZipWall dust barrier poles

The ZipWall^® dust barrier is used for dust protection in remodeling, renovation, restoration, painting, drywall, flooring, demolition, concrete cutting, sanding, and any interior job that generates dust. Beyond construction, the ZipWall^® barrier system is widely used for abatement, mold remediation, water damage or flood restoration, and other interior jobs where contaminants in the dust are a concern. Another driver for the use of ZipWall^® barriers is OSHA’s new Silica Rule for Construction which requires the implementation of dust controls.

Tips for setting up a dust barrier

• When using plastic, cut it to size ahead of time.
• Set up the barrier one pole at a time starting at the wall. Leave the plastic loose at the bottom and make sure the spring at the top of the pole is not compressed all the way.

Once ALL poles are in place, do the following:

• Tuck the plastic under each pole.
• Place a GRIP DISK on the floor under the pole.
• Compress the spring at the top of each pole all the way up.

IMPORTANT: Placing a GripDisk™ non-skid pad under each pole ensures the barrier will stay securely in place even on smooth floors or when used with negative air pressure.

Durable self-adhesive zippers attach to plastic sheeting and create an entry in seconds. Two zippers can create a hands-free door. The 7 foot long 3 inch wide heavy-duty zipper withstands high traffic. Specially designed ZipperKnife™ double-cuts the plastic to prevent jams. Flap hooks hold the entryway open for easy access.

ZipWall^® heavy-duty zippers are the quickest way to create an entry in a plastic dust barrier wherever you need it.

Two ZipWall^® zippers create a hands-free entry – simply roll up the flap and hold the door open using two flap hooks. This hands-free door can be as wide as needed to get equipment and supplies in and out of the worksite.

Patented ZipperKnife™ sheeting cutter PREVENTS JAMS. Specially designed to double-cut the plastic, the ZipperKnife™ leaves a clean cut that keeps plastic away from zipper teeth.

Effective at temperatures as low as 32 degrees F. Tip: To improve the zippers’ adherence to a plastic barrier when working in cold temperatures, we recommend attaching them to the plastic ahead of time at a temperature of 50 degrees F or higher.

Poly-Hanger #3 supports poly from ceiling grid and other overhead objects. Poly is installed over the pin and is held in place by a removable retainer. Hanger #3 supports poly both horizontally and vertically for building full containments, connecting tunnels, dust curtains etc.
